Pre-Service and In-Service Training

Ever since its inception, 85 training programmes, refresher and re-orientation courses, seminars and workshops have been conducted, during which training was imparted to 1810 Civil Judges-cum-Judicial Magistrates, Senior Civil Judges, Additional District & Sessions Judges and District & Sessions Judges from various provinces.

Lectures and discourses by eminent scholars and jurists were arranged on large number of subjects, relevant and essential for the acquisition of necessary proficiency for improvement of the quality of justice, which included the Rule of law, Role and Conduct of a Judge, Court Management, Etiquettes and Manners, Self-management and Stress Management. Various other topics were also covered, with particular emphasis on Civil Practice and Procedure, Maintenance of court registers and record, case management, the style of judicial reasoning and the process of decision making.

STAFF TRAINING

The Academy develops training programmes for personnel in courts, probation and pre-trial services offices, court librarians and judges’ secretaries. Judges are also invited to participate with senior court managers in special focus management workshops, which include subjects as strategic planning and team development, national workshops for district courts and follow up strategic planning implementation programmes tailored to
