br> Justice Qazi Faez Isa is the son of the late Qazi Mohammad Isa of Pishin, who was at the forefront of the Pakistan Movement, and the grandson of Qazi Jalaluddin, the Prime Minister of pre-Pakistan Kalat State. Justice Isa’s father was the first person from Balochistan to be called to the Bar of England and Wales (Middle Temple). Upon his return from London Mr. Jinnah, the President of the All India Muslim League, nominated him as the provincial President of Muslim League which he made into a potent political force in Balochistan. Qazi Mohammad Isa had the distinction of serving as the only member on the Central Working Committee of the All-India Muslim League from Balochistan. Justice Isa’s mother, Mrs. Saida Isa, was a dedicated social-worker, and also worked in an honorary capacity on the boards of hospitals and other charitable organizations focusing on education, children, and women’s health issues. br>
Before his elevation to the Bench Justice Isa wrote for Pakistan's premier English newspaper on a diverse range of subjects, including the Constitution, law, Islam and environment, and he co-authored ‘Mass Media Laws and Regulations in Pakistan’ (Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), Singapore, 1997), which was the first book on the subject. He also wrote the report titled ‘Balochistan: Case and Demand’ (Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT), 2007). br>
After gaining his law degree from the University of Peshawer, Mr. Hayat Ali Shah started his career as a lawyer in the province of Khyber Pakhtun Khwa, the then North West Frontier Province (NWFP). He successfully practiced law for ten years (1981–1990), following which he was appointed as Additional District and Sessions Judge (AD&SJ) by the Peshawar High Court, Peshawar (NWFP). As AD&SJ, Mr. Hayat Ali Shah served in various stations including Nowshehra, Mardan, Bannu, and Malakand. He was promoted as District and Sessions Judge (D&SJ) in 1997, and served in various stations and positions. The stations he served as D&SJ at include Karak, Mardan, Swat, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and as Judge Anti-Terrorism Court between 2008–2012. The positions that Mr. Hayat Ali Shah served as D&SJ include Registrar Peshawer High Court, Director General KPK Judicial Academy, Peshawer (Feb. 2012 – March 2015), and Administrative Judge Ehtesab Court, KPK (March 2015 – June 2017).
